Megan Hanson joins Lake Area Technical College as a Dental Hygiene Instructor, bringing extensive clinical experience and a passion for patient care. She earned her Dental Hygiene degree from the University of South Dakota and has spent the past 14 years serving patients at Beyond Dentistry in Watertown, South Dakota. Her years of experience in practice provide students with valuable real-world knowledge and insights into the dental hygiene profession.

Megan is dedicated to helping students develop the technical skills, professionalism, and confidence needed to succeed in their careers. She enjoys sharing her experiences from the field and supporting students as they prepare to become healthcare professionals.

Megan lives near Florence, South Dakota, with her family. She is the proud mother of six children, including four bonus children, and enjoys spending time with her family whenever possible. Outside of work, she loves being outdoors, caring for the animals on her farm, including cows, chickens, and cats, traveling, and trying new foods. When she finds a spare moment, she also appreciates the opportunity to catch up on sleep.
