Madison Weishaar joins Lake Area Technical College as a Marketing Specialist, bringing a strong background in agricultural communications and a passion for connecting people with opportunities in education and agriculture. She earned her Bachelor of Science degrees in Animal Science with an Industry Relations Specialization and Agricultural Communications, along with a minor in Public Relations, from South Dakota State University in 2025.

Before joining LATC, Madison served as an Information Specialist for the Department of Animal Science at South Dakota State University, where she developed communications and marketing content that supported students, faculty, and industry partners. Her experience combining agriculture, communications, and relationship-building helps her share the stories and successes of Lake Area Tech students and programs.

Originally from Lemmon, South Dakota, Madison grew up on her family’s fourth-generation row crop and cow-calf operation. Her involvement in 4-H and FFA helped shape her passion for agriculture and leadership from an early age. Outside of work, she enjoys exploring local coffee shops and antique stores, cheering on the SDSU Jackrabbits, and making trips home to spend time with family.
