Hannah Abel joined Lake Area Technical College in July 2026 as Dean of Student Services. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Master of Science in Education: Teaching, Learning and Leadership from Southwest Minnesota State University.

Before joining LATC, Hannah served in several student-focused leadership roles at Southwest Minnesota State University, including College Now Education Coordinator, Campus Visit Coordinator, Coordinator of Academic Support Services, and Director of Alumni Relations and Outreach.

Hannah and her husband, Seth, enjoy spending time outdoors, especially fishing, hunting, and relaxing at their camper on Bitter Lake in Waubay with their two Labrador retrievers, Max and Stanley. As they relocate to the Watertown area, Hannah looks forward to becoming part of the community and supporting students as they achieve their educational and career goals.
