I'leah Greenfield

I’leah Greenfield graduated from Deuel High School, Clear Lake, SD in 2000. She enrolled in the Medical Laboratory Technician program at Lake Area Tech and completed the program in 2002.

As a requirement for completion of the Medical Laboratory Technician program, I’leah obtained and completed clinicals in the medical laboratories at Prairie Lakes Healthcare Center in Watertown, Heart Hospital and Sioux Valley Clinic East both located in Sioux Falls. When finished with the program requirements, I’leah was hired as a full-time medical laboratory technician at Sioux Valley Clinic East where she is currently employed.

I’leah comments, “The MLT program at Lake Area Tech gave me a starting point for my career in health. I learned so much and have applied pretty much everything I learned while in the program to my present employment.”

I’leah’s duties at Sioux Valley East include phlebotomy, laboratory testing and documentation of results, machine maintenance, quality control and providing acute care services for the patients.

She continues, “My career choice has provided me a good job. I would recommend the MLT program at Lake Area Tech to anyone who has an interest in lab work in the health care industry.”

I’leah has been with Sioux Valley East for approximately two years.
