CLT/MLT PROGRAM MISSION STATEMENT

The Clinical/Medical Laboratory Technician (CLT/MLT) program at Lake Area Technical Institute is dedicated to providing students with the knowledge and skills for success as an entry-level laboratory technician.

CLT/MLT PROGRAM GOALS

The CLT/MLT Program at Lake Area Tech will:

1. Graduate technically competent individuals ready to enter the laboratory workforce.

2. Encourage graduates to take and pass a national certification exam.

3. Maintain a program current in the field of laboratory medicine.

4. Provide instruction that is responsive to the needs of the student.

5. Instill the importance of continuing education for medical laboratory professionals.

6. Provide the opportunity for certified CLT/MLT graduates to obtain a baccalaureate degree that builds on their associate degree.
