John Annett

John is the veteran member of the CIS department. After teaching several years at the secondary level, John has taught at Sisseton Whapeton Community College and Lake Area Tech. He has been at Lake Area Tech since 1985. John has been named the Jaycee's Outstanding Educator and has been the Optimist Club Honor Club President. He has a BS degree in Mathematics from the University of Sioux Falls.

Don Armstrong

Don Armstrong

Don brings experience as a Programmer/Analyst, with experience at Blue Cross / Blue Shield and Berkley Information Systems. He is a graduate of Lake Area Technical Institute with an A.A.S. degree in Computer Information Processing. Don administers the LATI AS/400 computer system. He has been at Lake Area Tech since 1997.

Terri Carson

Terri Carson

Terri has a BA degree in Mathematics Education and Computer Science from Gustavus Adolphus College in St. Peter, MN and a MS degree in Computer Education and Technology from Dakota State University in Madison, SD. Terri began her teaching career in South Dakota with the Todd County School District on the Rosebud Indian Reservation in Mission, SD where she taught high school Mathematics and Computer Science for 3 years and then was the district Technology Coordinator for 4 years. She spent the past 7 years as the Technology Coordinator for the De Smet School District. Terri was awarded the TIE Technology Leadership Award in 1997 and the South Dakota Distance Learning Local Leadership Award in 2004 for her work with the Cisco Networking Academy Blended Distance Learning Program. She currently holds the following industry certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP), Certified Internet Webmaster (CIW), A+, Network+, and iNet+. She is also a certified Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do. Terri joined the CIS Staff in the Fall of 2005.

Mark Wayt

Mark Wayt

Mark has a BAE in industrial education and a MSE in technical education. Mark has a background in electronics/avionics beginning with his time in the Air Force. During his career which includes electronics, avionics, and computer servicing, Mark has earned the following certifications: General Radiotelephone Operator's License; A+ certification; Network + certification; and CCNA. Mark is also a Cisco certified Academy Instructor, a member of the International Society of Certified Electronics Technicians, and a PACE certified soldering instructor. Mark taught electronics at the secondary and post secondary levels for seven years before coming to Lake Area in 1990. Mark teaches classes in Cisco, Network Cabling, and Microcomputer Hardware.
