Gina Grant

electronic systems technology / robotics
Gina began teaching at Lake Area Technical Institutes Electronics and Robotics Programs in 2006 and is the current department supervisor. She graduated from LATI with an A.A.S. in Robotics. Prior to teaching at LATI, she was a machine programmer for Daktronics in Brookings, SD. She then went to work at Dakota Bodies in the engineering department, where she designed utility bodies and developed laser-cutting programs. She has 8 years of manufacturing experience and is PACE certified for soldering. She also has a BA in Applied Technology Management from Mount Marty College and is pursuing a Masters Degree in Education Technology from Dakota State University.

Brooks Jacobsen

Brooks Jacobsen

electronic systems technology / robotics
Brooks graduated from Robotics in 2006. Prior to attending school a LATI Brooks worked as a MLRS repairer for 7 years with the military where he learned to troubleshoot and fix hydraulic and electronic components. Brooks has also worked with Dakota Automation, Daktronics, and Automation Technology. He is currently enlisted in the South Dakota Army National Guard and plans to further his education at SDSU while teaching.
