Chris Barrett

Chris Barrett, P.T. serves as the Program Director for the Physical Therapist Assistant Program. She has a BS in Physical Therapy from the University of North Dakota and a Masters of Education degree from the University of Phoenix. Prior to coming to Lake Area Tech, she practiced PT in the areas of acute care, pediatrics, geriatrics and outpatient services. Chris has a special interest in the areas of women’s health issues, wound care and orthopedic disorders.

Brenda Norton

Brenda Norton, P.T.A., has instructed in the Physical Therapist Assistant Program since August, 1995. She graduated from The College of St. Catherine, St. Mary's Campus in 1990. After graduation, Brenda worked at St. Luke's Midland Regional Medical Center in Aberdeen, South Dakota until starting here at LATI. While there she worked in numerous areas including acute care, pediatrics, outpatient (including sports medicine), and rehabilitation. Brenda lives here in Watertown with her husband and two children.

Brad Thuringer

Brad graduated from the Physical Therapist Assisting program at LATI in 1997, and began working at the Brookings Center for Physical Therapy in Brookings, SD. While there, he worked in numerous settings, including outpatient, acute care, SNF's and home health. In April, 2001, he returned to LATI as an instructor for the Physical Therapist Assisting program. Brad lives in Brookings with his wife and two children.
