3D Printing

The latest in rapid prototype technology is 3D printing.  3D printing is a fast way to produce physical prototypes directly from 3D computer designs.  Lake Area Technical Institute has now added this technology to the Engineering Architectural Drafting and Machine Tool Technology departments.  Students will be able to produce 3 dimensional designs using Architectural Desktop, AutoCAD, or AutoDESK Inventor and print their finished design.  The printer is a Model 310 PLUS by ZCORP.  The 310 is a powder and binder based additive system.  For additional information on this system visit www.zcorp.com.
