The Lake Area Tech Diesel Technology program believes that stressing co-worker interaction, team work and development of a strong work ethic, combined with student mastery of competencies, will provide students with marketable skills in the diesel technology field and provide the industry with well-trained technicians.

Established in 1966.
Excellent job placement history.
Majority of graduates are employed in South Dakota.
ASE Master Certified Truck Curriculum.
ASE certified instructional staff.
Large number of heavy-duty training aid diesel engines.
Many state-of-the-art computer-controlled training aid diesel engines.
Late model farm tractor training aids including John Deere 7520 FWA with infinitely variable transmission, John Deere 8100 FWA, Case Maxxum FWA, Ford New Holland bi-directional.
Late model class 8 heavy truck training aids including 2006 FLD120 Freightliner.
General and program scholarships are available.
Students have easy access to computers (including Internet).
Many software programs available through the LAN including service manuals, parts manuals and preparatory ASE testing.
