Mission Statement

Educate students to meet the standards of the cosmetology profession.

Cosmetology Standards

• Offer a complete course of 2100 hours.
   

• Prepare students to perform the duties of a cosmetologist upon graduation, change and modify our curriculum as needed.
   

• Extend educational opportunities to all persons regardless of race, creed, sex, national origin, religion, marital status and status involving public assistance, age or disability.
   

• Employ qualified instructors.
   

• Maintain a current program.
   

• Evaluate student progress on the basis of identified competencies and objectives to assure students are qualified.
   

• Provide quality equipment to meet SD board requirements.
   

• Be responsive to individual student needs.
   

• Attempt to instill the desire and necessity for lifelong learning.
