Design | CISCO
The
Computer Information Systems department at Lake Area Technical
Institute offers four program specialties: Networking, Programming,
Graphic & Web Design,
and Cisco/Networking. There is also a Cisco Fast-Track
program. All students follow nearly identical curriculum
during the first year. This gives the student a chance
to determine their interest in a particular program prior to
making a decision. Check out each of the program
areas to view the curriculum. Each course listed is linked
to the course syllabus for that course.
Students
attend classes during the summer session between the two
years they are enrolled in the program. In the fall of the second year, students
make a decision as to their specialty. During the second
year, the students take several courses directed towards their
program.
We
pride ourselves in giving the students hands-on opportunities
during the learning process. We
also have up-to-date equipment for the students to work on.
Even though our program is very
structured, we allow for students to start the program at the
second semester which is in January. This allows those who
may need to begin their education in the middle of the school
the opportunity to get an early start.
