Internship Information / Forms

A prerequisite for a student completing the CIS program is a 6-week internship with a prospective employer in their field of expertise. The student must complete 240 hours of on-the-job training while with this company. The student is graded based on the success with the company and is given 4 credits toward the completion of the "Associate of Applied Science" degree. This "partnership in training" is a valuable tool for a company in providing a well-trained person for their operating needs.  Many long-term employment relationships have developed at the conclusion of the internship.
