Impact of Giving

Contributing charitable dollars to the Lake Area Tech Foundation embraces and promotes education and technical training. Private sector donations enable scholarships to be awarded ambitious and talented students. They also enable needed campus improvements to be made, as well as strengthen programs that provide students with a quality education. The ability to provide an ever-increasing number of scholarships allows Lake Area Technical Institute to attract the best and retain quality students. Last year, 80% of all students enrolled at Lake Area Tech were in need of Financial aid. Yet, only one in 20 students received scholarship support through the Lake Area Tech Foundation.

Students fill job openings and make this area "home" upon receiving their degree. 88% of the LATI 2006 graduates remained in South Dakota.
