By completing this application, you will be eligible for over $150,000 in scholarship support that will be awarded by the Lake Area Technical Institute Foundation during the coming academic year.

Students who meet the criteria for a Merit Scholarship listed below will automatically receive the indicated award in addition to any other scholarships earned by completing this application.

*High school or post-secondary transcripts qualify.

Application Directions

Please read thoroughly before completeing application.

Step 1:

Applicants must be accepted to Lake Area Technical Institute prior to completing the Foundation Scholarship application. Application deadline is April 1, 2009.

Step 2:

COMPLETE your scholarship packet.

	Complete scholarship application (Please print, type or attach a word-processed document. You may scan the application for your convenience or download an editable version of this application at the "Application Form 2009-2010" link above.)
	Attach essay - see guidelines below. *Scholarship applications without an essay will be considered ineligible.*
	Enclose a copy of your high school and post-secondary transcripts (if applicable). Scholarship applications without transcripts will be considered ineligible.
	Lake Area Multi-District students who are applying for the Alliance Scholarship must include a sealed letter of recommendation from their Multi-District program instructor.

Step 3:

MAIL OR DELIVER your application packet by the April 1, 2009 deadline to:

Essay Guidelines

The essay:

Minimum of 150 words, typed or word-processed. Not to exceed one typwritten page.
Give the scholarship committee a better understanding of you by including goals, objectives, accomplishments, scholarship need, etc.
Essays are judged on neatness, content and creativity. Carefully craft your essay; it may be the one thing that separates you from other qualified candidates.
