Although students are not required to participate in school activities, the philosophy of the institution is that these are also an important part of a total education.
Student life consists of many activities outside the classroom. Extracurricular activities provide for many positive social and professional experiences which students may encounter off-campus.

Odyssey 5 Theaters in Watertown has a college discount for LATI students. Students get child price tickets with a valid college ID Sunday - Thursday. Not valid on holidays or for midnight showings.
Students are encouraged to participate in regular recreational and intramural activities. Activities may include golf, volleyball, flag football, bowling, basketball and softball.
Located across the street from the LATI campus, The Watertown Community Rec Center facility offers a variety of recreational activities. Students are encouraged to make use of the indoor swimming pool, sauna, whirlpool, weight room, racquetball courts, land and water aerobics, gymnasium, cardiovascular equipment, walking and running track and other facilities and activities provided by the recreation center. Students with a current LATI ID card have free access to the Community Recreation Center.
