Diesel Technology, Energy Technology, Energy Operations, and Welding Technology
(63,000 Sq. Ft. addition to the current Manufacturing Education Center)
The spacious, modern facility will:
- double the student capacity in these programs
- create state-of-the-art classroom and lab space
- incorporate needed safety features
- create customized training space
- meet the demands of the diesel, energy and welding industry needs
- provide customized continuing education
Additionally, the lab will also be used to cross- train students from other related programs creating a high return on investment for that lab space.

Automotive Technology, Building Trades and Health Science Lab
The new Automotive Technology facility will:
- replicate the emerging automotive industry standards
- significantly enhance training capabilities using modern technologies and techniques for students
For the first time ever, health students will have access to a Health Science Lab that will:
- allow for training in a dedicated lab space for the study of anatomy and dissection
- embrace new technologies in a learning environment conducive to exceeding health care industry expectations

Welcoming Center - Opening a New Front Door for All...
The two-story Welcome Center will:
- serve as Lake Area Tech’s point of welcome and first impression for potential students and their families, visitors, and alumni and by projecting an image of quality, excellence and opportunity
- centralize student services
- be the home of large-group meeting areas, classrooms, bookstore, modern dining facility and centralized admission, administrative offices and central student service areas

Agriculture Center and Program Renovations
The new Agriculture Center will:
- increase the availability of highly-skilled, highly trained graduates that will meet the workforce needs of the agriculture industry
- provide technological advancements that drive today’s agriculture environment
In this final stage, Lake Area Tech will make use of what we call the domino effect...simply put - adding new space creates areas for existing programs and enables us to renovate old areas for new opportunities.
The Program Renovations will:
- enhance the training of hundreds of students in the building trades, business, cosmetology, and health programs
- will maximize the available space by streamlining, customizing and incorporating new technologies for the training of these students
Additionally, Phase IV will:
- create student parking and links connecting buildings on the main campus creating a safe, secure and protected passage for students and visitors
- complete campus beatification projects
