In order to prepare for the comprehension test, a student should practice reading higher-level excerpts, paying close attention to main idea, topic sentences and vocabulary development. The math tests contain addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of whole numbers, fractions, and decimals. Integers, percents, and basic algebraic expressions are also included. The language portion of the test measures capitalization, punctuation, usage, sentence structure, and paragraph development skills.
