Because Energy Technicians are desperately needed, the South Dakota Governorís Office and South Dakota Legislature created a Critical Needs Workforce Scholarship, available the fall of 2014. Students accepted into the Energy Technology program are eligible for federal financial aid and also can sign up for an automatic $4000 scholarship, awarded in installments over the course of their program. As a student of our 20-month Energy Technology program, you will receive both classroom theory and hands-on lab and internship experience. You will be instructed in mechanical maintenance, repair and overhaul, as well as alignment techniques, metallurgy,pneumatics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, combustion, vibration analysis and dynamic balancing.
