Successful Graduates

Successful Graduate"One of the absolute musts in the CIS program is an internship. All students need one to graduate, but landing one can be competitive. Take Deepa Raja, for instance. Deepa secured an internship interview with Eagle Creek Software in Minnesota during her final semester at Lake Area Tech. She wasn’t alone – literally. Deepa and four university students were interviewed in the same room, at the same time.
After the questions and answers, the interviewees were given a practical test, which was to install and configure MS SQL Server 2000. Deepa was the only one to complete the task. Everyone else was excused and Deepa landed the internship. Deepa’s hands-on and intensive training at LATI paid off! The internship was a great experience for her and was instrumental in preparing her for her new job at ITXM Central Blood Bank as an Application Developer in Pittsburgh, PA. "
