Love to work with animals? As a graduate, you'll have the knowledge and experience you'll need to be a herd health technician for a modern dairy, beef, or swine operation. You could also work as an assistant to a large animal veterinarian.
This 18 month option covers basic nutrition, health care, animal husbandry, animal handling, and herd management. The curriculum is continually updated by an advisory board of area veterinarians, dairy producers, swine producers, beef producers, and industry consultants.
Expect to get vital hands-on experience! We are committed to providing you with real-world, active learning, including two industry internships.
*Please note: This is not a Vet Tech program. No small animal work will be taught and no national accreditation is necessary.
